This old mechanical bell was made by Sergeant and bears a patent date of 1878. The solid brass bell measures three and a half inches in diameter and features some of the most detailed and intricate carving I have ever seen. The bell uses a simple pull knob mechanism, which a visitor to your door would simply pull to ring the bell.

The bell itself mounts inside your house and connects to the pull knob by way of a hole drilled through the door. This is a lovely solid brass and cast iron doorbell that has been completely repaired and fully restored to working condition. We've use mostly vintage hardware and misc. old parts to repair the mechanisms and to form the operating devise.
