A wonderful early 1900's Cast iron Weathervane Arrow with a cocky old Rooster strutting across the arrow shaft. The rooster is in as found condition and has a mixture of old yellow, red and black paint along with some areas of rust. The original directional indicators are included, but the East West arm is broken. This could be repaired by anyone able to use a welder.
The arrow measures 15 inches from tip to tail and the rooster stands a little over six inches tall. You'll see a lot of different types of rooster vane tops, but you'll rarely see one like this heavy old beauty. |
