SPIRIT OF '76 BOOKENDS
A pair of cast metal bookends with figures of three Revolutionary soldiers, one playing a fife; one carrying the American Flag; one playing the drum. They are in a base with the American shield in the center bottom. They are signed on the back, 1974 SCC and measure 6 ¾ in. tall, 2 ½ in. wide at its widest point and 5 ½ in. long. There are a very few scuff marks on them, but otherwise in very good condition. They have a black felt bottom.

A pair of hollowed glass horse head bookends. This is a nice set of heavy pressed glass bookends without any flaws. The bookends each measure 5 ½ in. high, 3 ¼ in. wide and 4 7/8 in. long.

CERAMIC CLOCK & PENCIL HOLDER BOOKENDS
A pair of black grandfather clock bookends with a holder for a pen or pencil on the side. The black clocks are trimmed in gold, and the clocks are sitting on books with gold pages. The bookends are signed in gold color, Japan. The base is red ware coloring and ca. 1950’s-1960’s. The bookends measure 4 ½ in. high, 1 ¾ in. wide and 2 ¾ in. long.

GENTLEMAN ON HORSEBACK BOOKENDS
A pair of cast brass bookends, figural open worked, of a gentleman wearing a top hat on a prancing horse bookends. The bookends are incised, Art Brass Co., NY. and measure 4 ½ in. high and 4 in. wide. They do need a bit of cleaning, but I didn’t want to ruin the patina.

FRANKART COCKER SPANIEL METAL BOOKENDS
A pair of handsome looking Cocker Spaniel gray metal bookends. Circa, 1934, they are inscribed, Frankart Inc., Pat Appld For. The Cocker Spaniel bookends measure 6 ¼ in. high, and the base measures 3 ½ in. wide and 7 ¼ in. long. The only problem is that the owner decided he didn’t like them when placed at the end of books, one had his back forward while the other one was looking straight ahead, so he redrilled the holes on the base of one so when placed on either side of books, they are both looking forward. Allowance has been made for that, however, they probably can easily be filled in. Price Guides price this pair from $120.00 to $180.00 in one guide, and $150.00 in another guide. Shipping weight 6 lbs.

ANGELUS CAST METAL BOOKENDS
Beautiful raised figures of a man and woman who are bent over in prayer against a solid background. There is a pitch fork on one side, a basket of food in the center, and off to the right is a wheelbarrow. The base of the bookends is entitled, Angelus. They are signed on the back, L.D.B. Co., and measure 4 5/8 in. high, 2 ¼ wide at the base and 4 7/8 in. long. There are a very few scuff marks on them, but otherwise in very good condition. They have an orange felt bottom.

A pair of black poodle bookends trimmed in gold, wide white with black dot eyes, red noses and mouths, both sitting on a book and one leaning against another book. The books also are black with gold pages. The base is redware coloring and ca. 1950’s-1960’s. The bookends measure 5 in. at the highest point, by 2 ¼ in. wide and 6 1/8 in. long.

SYROCO WOOD SPANIEL BOOKENDS
A pair of syroco wood spaniels bookends with great wavy hair on the dogs. The finish, being syroco wood, is a bit rough, and if you wish you could add a clear covering. The expressions on the pups’ faces is just adorable. The dog bookends measure 6 in. high and the base measures 4 5/8 long and 1 in. wide.

BRASS DUCK HEAD BOOKENDS
A pair of brass duck head bookends. Tall, heavy and regal looking, they really do their job well. This particular pair has a label on the back which reads, Jehvani Corporation, but I have seen others with different names. They measure 6 ¼ in. tall, 2 7/8 in. wide and 3 ¼ in. long. They have a few scuff marks on them. They have a black rubber bottom.

HORSE HEAD BOOKEND/LETTER HOLDER
This is a very neat item, probably a letter holder as it isn’t too wide, but still can hold a book or two. Silver colored metal, a pair of figural horse heads with bridles on a base. They measure 5 ½ in. high to the top of their ears, 2 in. wide and 4 5/8 in. long. There are some scuff marks and minor spots of missing finish. They are signed on the bottom, I P C, Goshen, Ind.

DOUBLE SCROLL DECO BOOKENDS
A really neat Deco bookend. I cannot find a signature, but the identical picture of one is in a book on Antique Bookends, and describes this one as: Double Scroll 5 in. wood, copper, steel and plastic. 1936 Revere Copper and Brass Co. Since there is green felt on the bottom, possibly the signature is under the felt. This bookend has been used, there is some white paint missing from the center piece (easily repainted); and a few scuff marks on the copper and steel which probably can be buffed out. They all seem minor for the type of item as a bookend. There still is good spring in the scroll ends of the bookend. The overall measurements are 5 in. high, and the bottom base measures 6 in. dia.
