c.1890 RELIEF CHERUB & BIRD SCENT PERFUME BOTTLE A delightful pewter or white metal rounded scent bottle, with a suspensory chain, and cork and screw sprinkler top. The piece is decorated to the front and back with relief panels; on the one side a preening bird sits on a leafy branch below a star - possibly meant an an analogy of evening or night - on the other side, the bird is soaring into the sky - here again possibly an analogy of day. The base of the bottle is embellished with winged cherub's heads; the tapered sides are enhanced with undulating beaded borders and large flower heads. CONDITION: small and light rim dent to the top; some surface age and use wear; undamaged; good cork fit - if you have any questions about this item, contact me. UNUSUAL c.1900 COMPOSITE GOLD FLECK SCENT PERFUME BOTTLE An attractive and unusual flask shaped scent bottle, with a leaf pattern plated ball and cork stopper, as well as a silver collar. The body could be lacquered, or is possibly phenolic, it is flecked with gold inclusions of varying hues; the ball stopper is embellished with a gold coloured, pierced roundel. <b>Condition:</b> some surface wear to the stopper and collar, light age and surface wear to the bottle; undamaged <b> - if you have any questions about this item, contact me. c.1880 FRENCH BASKET WEAVE SCENT PERFUME BOTTLE, SILVER TOP A charming, flask shape glass scent bottle, with a cork lined, sterling silver, hinged top and collar. The bottle is enclosed in a beautifully hand made basket weave cover. CONDITION: light surface marking; light dimpling to the silver top; undamaged; good lid fit - if you have any questions about this item, contact me. French, circa 1880; the lid is hallmarked with a rabbit's head and further rhomboid with initials (too small to read). 2¾in/7cm high.
