UNUSUAL c.1890 PRESSED GLASS "STAFFORDSHIRE" FIGURE An unusual and attractive Staffordshire type figure group in salmon pink pressed glass. The moulded group features a young shepherd with a recorder similar musical instrument, a recumbent sheep, and a seated shepherdess, between the two young people is a cornucopia shaped spill holder. The figures, and holder are embellished with gilt and colour highlights, the base is enhanced with a fine gilt line. CONDITION: one very small nick to the base; light rubbing to the decoration; no cracks, hairlines or bruising - if you have any questions about this item, contact me. c.1880 SOWERBY PATTERN # 1828 QUEENS IVORY DOUBLE SWAN VASE A delightful, finely moulded, oval vase, on a double groove platform base above four peg feet. The ends of the vase feature swans with open area bowed heads, spread wings, and open area legs. The front and back are decorated in relief with rushes, water lilies, bank vegetation and a spreading tree. CONDITION: restoration to a chip on one swan's neck; mould lines (not damage) to the tip of one corner; minor age and use wear; no further flaws - if you have any questions about this item, contact me. RARE 1880s BLUE VITRO PORCELAIN GRYPHON VASE WITH GILDING An excellent blue vitro porcelain, classical shape vase, with a fluted rim, interlocking thick and thin V pattern neck, and rounded pedestal base. Central to the vase is a trio of "Gryphons" - heads and wings of a swan and body of a lion - joined by chains and neck rings. The chains and rings are picked out with very rare gilding, and the vase has a further line of gilding around the bottom of the fluted rim; there are remains of additional gilding to several other parts of the vase. CONDITION: one or two very small nicks; small filled in air hole on the relief band above the Gryphons heads; some age and use wear; no cracks or hairlines; very good mould definition - if you have any questions about this item, contact me.
