1881 Ed. Works of Charles Lamb 3 Vol. This is a three volume set of the Works of Charles Lamb. It was a new edition in 1881 and is actually 5 volumes in three. The publisher was A. C. Armstrong and Son of New York. All volumes are in good condition. Volume has a couple of front pages-including the one with Mr. Lambs picture, that have come entirely loose from the book. The boards are covered in a dark brown cloth with gold printing on the spines. There is shelf wear including some fraying on the edges. The inside pages have yellowed with age and the portrait page shows some foxing. Other that the mentioned problem, the books are very tight, no missing or torn pages.
This is a collection of his letters with a sketch of his life by Thomas Noon Talfourd, one of his executors.
