Poems that Have Helped Me- 1916 Gift Book This is a sweet little book that was printed in 1916 by Algonquin Publishing Co. It is a collection of poems that was selected by S.E. Kiser. The poems are from well known poets, and some not so well known but all are uplifting and inspiring.
The book measures 4 3/8" x 6" and has 58 pages. The hard back book has a dust jacket that is in good condition with minor tears and soiling. The inside has no missing, torn or marked pages. The pages have yellowed with age. There are no illustrations in this book.
 

The Book of Good Cheer 1916 Gift Book This is a small book of poetry that is part of a series of gift books printed in the early 1900's. This is collection of poems and thoughts of inspriation by many well known people of the time. This hard back book measures 4 1/2" x 6" and has 60 pages. It was edited by Edwin Osgood Grover and published by Algonquin Publishing Co. in 1916. It still has the original dust jack though it shows wear with some tearing. The inside is clean with a tight binding. There are no missing, torn or soiled pages. The inside pages do show yellowing of the paper. There are no illustrations in this book.  

Christmas in the Heart - Victorian Gift Book This is a lovely little book that was given as a gift during the Victorian Era. It is titled "Christmas in the Heart" and contains verses about Christmas. The book was published by the Hayes Lithographing Co. of Buffalo and was copyrighted in 1911. It has many beautiful colored lithographs by an unknown artist. The book measures 5" x 7" and has 9 pages. It is in very good condition, very slight soiling and wear consistant with age and use. These gift books and getting very hard to find and are very much sought after.Please take a look at others I have listed.  

Pansies Die Cut Victorian Gift Booklet Chromographs This is a beautiful little booklet that is in the shape of a pansy and entitled, quite appropriately "Pansies with Poems Selected by Thomas B. Reid. This booklet was designed in England and Printed in Germany. It has 10 pages and measures 4 1/4" x 4 3/4" and is in very good condition. It does have a very, very minor crease in lower left first couple of pages, where some "flipped" the pages. No markings on the pages. It still has original ribbon on the spine. It contains 6 beautiful chromographs of pansies and several other black and white illustrations.  

Jewels from James W. Riley Victorian Gift Book This is a beautiful little book of the poetry of James Whitcomb Riley. It was published by Berger Publishing Co. of Buffalo New York in 1907. It contains many beautiful chromographs of flowers and landscapes. It measures 4 1/4" x 6 3/4" and has 14 pages. The hardback cover shows some damage to spine and edges, the inside is clean and intact.  

The Day is Done by Longfellow Victorian Gift Book This is a lovely little book that was printed in the early 1900's and used as gift. It contains the poem, "The Day is Done" by Longfellow. This hardback book was published by Cupples and Leon Co. of New York. It contains 6 full page chromographs with lovely accents and adornments on the other pagesl. There isn't a printing date in the book but there is a handwritten inscription in the front of the book "A Merry Christmas to Edwin from his S.S. Teacher 1907" There is also a calling card from "Miss Jones" with "Edwin" handwritten on the back. The book measures 4 3/4" x 6 1/4" and has 12 pages. It is in very good condition with light soiling on the cover and wear consistant with age and use. Please check out my other gift books. We do combine items to save on shipping.  

Greetings from Longfellow Victorian Gift Book C.Klein This is a beautiful small book full of poetry by Longfellow. These small, beautifully illustrated books were very popular gifts during the Victorian Era, and have become very collectible now. This one has very beautiful chromographs-one of which was signed by Catherine Klein. The book measures 5" x 8" and has 13 pages. It was published by Cupples and Leon Co. of New York. This hardback book has a tight binding and all pages are intact with no tears or markings. The cover shows quite a bit of soiling and some water damage on the upper spine.  

Gifts of Memory-Victorian Poetry Gift Book This is a beautiful book that dates to the early 1900's when this type of book was given as gifts. This one contains a collection of poems by well known poets of the time and all have "memory" as a common denominator. The book measures 5 1/2" x 6 1/4" and has 15 pages. It contains many beautiful chromographs. It was published in England by Ernest Nister and in New York by E.P. Dutton. While the pages are complete, unmarked , and it has no tears, there is considerable soiling on the cover and darkening of the inside pages. No loose pages.  

Victorian Era Christmas Gift Book-Chromographs This is a beautiful Victorian Era Christmas gift book titled, "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" and contains the words with illustrations of this beautiful hymn. It was published in 1910 by The Hayes Lithographing Co. of Buffalo, New York. The book measures 4" x 7 1/2" and has 10 pages and is in very good condition with just very minor soiling consistant with age and use.
