German Paper Mache' Half Doll for Pincushion This is a vintage unused German paper mache' half doll waiting for her skirt. It still has the cellophane wrapper over the face and hair and is in the original box marked Germany. She is approximately 5 3/4 inches tall and she is beautiful! The bottom of the doll is also marked Germany. I believe it to be from the 1920's, but was doubtful being cellophane wrapped. Notice the box is not glued, it is stapled. By researching, I found that cellophane was invented in 1908, patented in 1917 and put into commercial use by DuPont in 1923.

Hand Made Half Doll Pin Cushion This lovely hand made half doll pin cushion has a light lavender skirt with old tatting for trim. She stands 6 1/2 inches high and is about 4 1/4 inches across the bottom. I am sure the doll itself is not old, but the tatting is. She would sure be a pretty addition to any collection.
