Art Deco Decorative Collectibles Book End This young girl, with elegant dress complete with old-fashion hat, is sitting on a settee, and brown poodle is near her knees- beautiful bright colors, intricate details. I believe the book-end is made out of some kind of plastic/resin or paper mache. The original label on the bookend reads: Created by Earl Bernard New York made in JAPAN. Pair of Carved Stone Idol Shaped Bookends These bookends are 3 1/2 inches tall and are carved from stone to look like idols. The stone has shades of yellow, green and brown. You can see traces of glue on their necks. There are no maker's marks.
