Homer Laughlin Priscilla Pattern Sauceboat &Underplate This is delicate Homer Laughlin set of sauce-boat (8 inches length by 3,5 inches height) and saucer dish (9,25 inches length by 5,25 inches width and 1,5 inches height). Boat-shaped vessel with body elongated on one side to form a deep downcurving spout. Opposite,high ear-shaped handle attached to shaped scalloped gilded rim. Flaring base with scalloped rim.Decorated with Priscilla pattern and embossed design on the midbody. Underplate has irregular,oval rim and collar with embossed curvilinear decoration. Dish has shaped base. Bottom marked Homer Laughlin Made in USA HOUSEHOLD INSTITUTE Priscilla Pattern. The Household Institute line was the result of a 1941 agreement between the Homer Laughlin China Company and the Club Aluminum Company. The line was purchased specifically for Club Aluminum's continuity plans in their food stores divisions and was produced for several years.
