Below waist sides taper sharply to flaring base decorated with round foot. Ear-shaped handle with branchlike knobs.A dark blue-greenish ewer that was used as a vase. Stands 10,5 inches tall and is 6,5 inches-wide.

Stoneware Jug Heavy, cylindrical vessel with sides that rise to ledge.Above ledge, shoulder slopes in to neck with plain rim. Ear-shaped handle attached at neck and shoulder. Plain base.
Stoneware; exterior glazed with white Bristol slip and brown Albany slip; interior glazed with brown Albany slip. Height-12 inches. Diameter-7 inches.
These vessels were used by distillers and by manufactures of cooking oil, vinegar and molasses. A straight-sided form with a sloping shoulder became common around 1850. Circa 1890-1920.
