Austria Cheese Dish Late 19th C to Early 20th
Beautiful porcelain cheese dish made in Austria, imported by Lewis Straus & Sons of NY. 1895-1917.
Dainty yellow roses in lush green foliage. Pattern #7010. Lightly embossed designs on dish side handles, with a lovely, wavy rim all around. Appealing twist to top handle on lid. Gold trim.
In very good condition for its age. There is just one small nick on outer edge of lid's rim--just below the gold line, and several tiny, dark (discolored) dots on dish. Some fading of the gold trim.
Cheese dish measures 8 ¼" wide; lid is 6". Stands 3 ½" high.
Good quality porcelain. Has a nice ring to it!
