1940's Rosina England Roses Tea Cup and Saucer
A very lovely bone china teacup and saucer set featuring large, yellow roses, pink & yellow rose buds, and gold "mock stitching" edges.
This set is manufactured by Rosina from England, 1946+, and is pattern # 4856.
It features a black transfer print outlined design of flowers and leaves, which have been hand painted in vibrant colors and signed by the artist "A. Bentley". This set bears hand finished touches in gold, and a lovely scalloped rim. The cup also has gold mock-stitching along its inner edge, a gold handle and band on foot. It has a stylish raised twist to the china, and as you can see in one of the pictures, the shape of the rim is octagonal.
The cup stand 2 5/8" high and is 2" wide. The saucer is 5 5/8" wide. Both are in very good condition. The saucer has minor scratches, & a couple through the design.
