Antique, flow blue Royal Semi-Porcelain oval casserole from Alfred Meakin of England. Pattern name is The Holland.
The Holland displays pretty flowers on a trailing wreath of vines alternating with designs of a tall, single flower between two elongated scrolls.
Dish has a beautiful, embossed edge consisting of scroll and floral designs. It has a scalloped foot with flower designs and lovely embossing on each scallop, and applied open-ring handles with a scroll on each side. It is finished with gold gilt trim.
Made in England.
Circa: 1891.
Size: 9 1/2 inches x 7 1/8 inches; (or overall 11 3/4 inches from handle tip to handle tip); stands 3 inches tall.
Condition: no lid; small chip on one handle tip. (See last photo)
