Windle, publisher, Kansas City, Missouri. Measures approx. 9 x 12. CONDITION: Excellent. 'Klansman...Protestant, gentile, native born man...Red White and Blue, Owing no allegiance...Weird, mysterious Ku Klux Klan'. You can buy these on the Klan Sites if they have them, or you can purchase them from us, but please understand we are not endorsing the Klan. We are offering original material to those who wish to keep this from ever happening again, either thru research, or by publicly proclaiming the evils of this direction of thought. Remember even Oprah collects this sort of Black Memorabilia. Part of our history folks, & yet not that far removed from today. I was raised near the local Klan Grand Dragon in the 60's south of Indianapolis, & the atmosphere there & then was easily identical to this song written long before. It seems to have currently changed(the area is booming, with Many Many folks of all races streaming in, including several foreign manufacturing plants & businesses, & lots of 'non-Christians' making up the local economy & fabric of life there. They seem to be welcomed by the long-time locals, but how can we know others' hearts? A great deal of prayer is still needed in this area all across America... Great for a piece of history for Black/Missourian/Klan/Racism/Cross/Culture/ Southern/Flag/Gentile/Patriotism/Gospel Music/Baptist Church & Americana Memorabilia Collectors. From the age of the blackface minstrel show, this is the cover and a remaining page of sheet music for Shake That Thing by Papa Charlie Jackson. It features Bernie Schultz and his Crescent Orchestra in photo on front with a faint blue Sample Copy stamped above it; the graphic illustration By Starmer is what used to be called a Coon Dancer in top hat with cane, Tux Spatz & Gloves & Diamond Pin with a TINY old coon dancer with white beard, a cast on his leg, and crutches beneath him who did a little too much 'shakin' that thing...'. I t measures 12 x 9 inches and has corner and margin tears to the cover as you see, some creasing, etc. and looks older than the copyright of 1926. Only one additional page of the music is present, with musical notation and lyrics to 7 verses: Ain't no Charleston, ain't no Pigeon Wing, all you got to do is Shake That Thing!
