The 'Ten Summoner's Tales' video was filmed in Sting's Wiltshire home, Lake House, at the time of recording the album. This was his first venture as a video album and the release won a Grammy award in 1994 for 'Best Long Form Video Of The Year'. The video does appear to have slightly different versions of the songs to those that appeared on the album, and all the album tracks are featured apart from 'Everybody Laughed But You', which was omitted from the US release of album. The video is particularly interesting not just for the live nature of the tracks but for the between song clips of Lake House and it's grounds, the band, and for little snippets like the bass falling over during 'Love Is Stronger Than Justice'. The most interesting clip is arguably of the band performing 'Something The Boy Said', a great song which has reputedly never been played live in concert.

Synopsis: This concert video captures perhaps the greatest show band in rock and roll: the Grateful Dead. Here the group appears in their 1976 concert at the San Francisco's Winterland Arena. Among the songs they play are: 'One More Saturday Night,' 'Truckin', 'Sugar Magnolia,' 'Ripple,' 'Playing in the Band,'
'Casey Jones' and the classic Chuck Berry tune, 'Johnny B. Goode.'

Description
Filmed during the Grateful Dead's 1974 tour, Leon Gast's iconic documentary features Gary Gutierrez's hallucinatory animation interspersed with concert footage of the band performing classics such as Truckin',Stella Blue,Casey Jones, and Sugar Magnolia.
Filmmaker Gast--who went on to lens the acclaimed HELL'S ANGELS FOREVER (1983) and the Oscar-winning WHEN WE WERE KINGS (1996)--also goes behind the scenes with the band and interviews many fans in an ambitious effort to capture the complete Dead experience.

Photo by R. Swearingen captures the long time rock 'n roll star as he weaves one of his melodic tapestries, under the Fiery Red concert lighting, taken from a Dead concert in 1980 at the Capitol Theatre in Passaic, New Jersey.
In like new condition, no scratches, nicks. Original Wooden Stand - reminiscent of the speakers we had in the 60s & 70s to crank up the tunes - has a Jerry Garcia black & brass nameplate, but is NOT in mint condition. Some dings & discolorations, & no paperwork or original box...Still, it is the 1st 1 I've ever seen, yet I've seen several of the plates before.

Artists Alton Kelley and Stanley Mouse's unique style of art pioneered the phenomenon now known as 'San Francisco poster art' and in many cases, their art became intrinsically linked to the music itself.
