This COUNTRY STORE Thimble collection includes background history from the companies and descriptions of the thimbles.
This collection consists of twenty-five fine porcelain thimbles and was created by the Franklin Mint. Each is marked on the inside with the Franklin Mint Porcelain trademark. Each thimble is hand decorated with 24 karat gold. [inside @ 1980 FP FINE PORCELAIN]
It was the Country Store , perhaps the most American of all establishments- and certainly a symbol of some of the most carefree years America has known. This remarkable collection includes 25 fascinating trademarks and reflects the highest standard of quality and excellence of design. Because these unique thimbles are privately issued, they are never offered today to the public at large. Also Available is a display stand designed to hold all 25 thimbles, 25 written descriptive commentaries on each thimble.
This collection was available in 1980 one thimble at a time mail order only.
