Vintage Glass Shade w/ Etching,Diamond & Chain Design
This Beautiful Glass Shade is quite heavy so I believe it belonged to a Floor lamp,or Wall Sconce,rather than a Chandelier, even sitting with the Bell up.Its just too Heavy. Etching of Flowers and Leaves around Bell Skirt, Diamonds in the middle section going up,and finally indented Chain Links which makes me believe it could be closer to 1870-1925, when the chain Link motif was very popular as was this type of etching. Oh,it shines like Diamonds when lighted but impossible to take a photo with all that glare!
At any rate, the fitter is an uncommon size - 2 inches outside edge to outside edge,(the bottom is unpolished) so you probably can use it for a Floor lamp best,or Wall Sconce. No imperfections, chips scratches,etc. Really a Vintage Darling! Shipping is $7.65 USA Domestic Priority (3 days).
