Vintage 1930s Block Ice Carrier Hook
This metal I categorize as Pot Metal, but it could be Steel or iron. It needs cleaning if you want it shiny. There is a Patent # on the front as shown,but I can't make it out. I remember as a little girl in the late 1940s seeing the ice man come and sling a Block of ice in our ice box using a carrier like this. Today perhaps its used for Dry Ice.
