Collector Bookstore is a retailer of new books located in Leavenworth, Kansas. We specialize in price guides and reference books for the antiques and collectibles industry. Relive the excitement of wonderful toy for boys as advertised in the Sears Christmas Wishbooks of the 1950's and 1960's The postman's annual delivery of the Sears Christmas Wishbook has been eagerly awaited by American children since the firm's first holiday catalog was published in 1933. Those exciting pages full of fantasy were the stuff of dreams. In the days before everyone shopped at the local mall, kids poured over the Wishbook to carefully pick the new toys they would ask Santa to bring. And for boys lucky enough to have grown up during the Fifties and Sixties the choices were not easy. Toys marketed to boys during this period were some of the best ever produced, and have become highly collectible today. Here, for the first time, are selected Sears Wishbook pages from 1950 to 1969 featuring classic toys for boys. These reproductions of the original catalog pages show hundreds of now rare toys of every description and their amazingly low original prices. It's guaranteed to bring back fond childhood memories of your Wishbook fantasies.
