Collector Bookstore is a retailer of new books located in Leavenworth, Kansas. We specialize in price guides and reference books for the antiques and collectibles industry. Naomi Over's first book, Ruby Glass of the 20th Century, appeared in 1990. It featured glass from Westmoreland, Fenton, Fostoria, Cambridge, Duncan & Miller, Anchor Hocking, Imperial, Paden City, L. G. Wright, Viking, Blenko, and many other companies. More than 650 pieces of ruby glass were shown in beautiful color. This book has consistently been among our best sellers, and it remains in print today. Now collectors can buy the long-awaited sequel. Book 2 shoes nearly twice as many pieces as the first book, and there are almost no duplications. In all, more than 1,280 pieces appear in outstanding color--tableware, novelties, bottles, lamps, candleholders, animals, and much more.An opening chapter discusses the manufacture of ruby glass, with special attention to American companies. Several pages are devoted to Fenton and Viking catalog reprints from the 1980s.All the major manufacturers are represented, as well as smaller firms such as Boyd, Summit, and Mosser. Book 2 also gives significant coverage to Italian glass and other imports. Some pieces in ruby carnival, slag, and overlay glass have been included. Current 1999 values appear with each caption entry. A worthy companion to the first volume, this book will delight anyone interested in ruby glass. Just looking at the beautiful photographs will brighten your day!
