Circa: Pre 1930 Manufacturer: Grafendora Factory This lamp is decorated with 4 toed Iron red ming Dragons. Top porcelain sockets unglazed. Underglaze blue crossed swords with iron red underglaze marks 3476h .

Mark used from this factory from 1887 onwards. They closed in 1937 The Grefenroda factory was founded in 1856, they produced doll heads, figurines and other items such as these unique table lamps. Silk wrapped chord with Eagle Cat no. 701 genuine bakelite plugs. Turn switch on side the lamp has 2 small chips around bottom base.( can be easily buffed) They measure 6 1/2 inches high and 5 inches across bottom. An early excellent example in original condition
This has been a very popular pattern since the 1700s, with the same ming dragon pattern covering some of the most prominent households. |
