Circa: 1941 Manufacturer: Fenton Art Glass Co.
The Fenton Art Glass Co. produced glass perfume bottles for the DeVilbiss Co. beginning in the 1940's. DeVilbiss manufactured the atomizers but no glass so they looked to glass manufacturers of the day to produce the bottles. This gorgeous example was made in the 1940's and features fabulous opalescence, a ribbed body with rows of spirals on either side. There would have been a metal fitting and attached rubber and thread atomizer. Due to age, many of the metal fittings and atomizers disintegrated and were not replaced. Replacement atomizers are still available today. This beautiful perfume bottle measures 5 1/2" high, 1 1/2" wide on the body and 2 3/8" wide including the spiral sides.
The bottle is in excellent condition, free of any chips, cracks or discolorations.
