This pattern is also known as Crown Jewels and was produced by the O'Hara Glass Co. circa 1888, and by U.S. Glass circa 1891 after the merger.
This magnificent cake stand is very hard to find and is one of the most unique. Featuring details that look like the prisms hanging from a chandelier, this ornate piece deserves a special place in any collection of Victorian glass!
This cake stand or salver features a skirt consisting of half prisms, a deep brandy well in the center, prisms hanging down the stem and radiating on the foot.
This piece measures 10 3/4" wide on the exterior (9 1/2" on the interior) and stands 7" high, a truly impressive piece.
Of all the pointed edges on this piece, I was only able to find one chip on the back side of one of the prisms on the skirt. It does not alter the shape in any way an is not able to be seen, but can be felt. There is a photo, but it is hard to see.
Shipping on this piece is included in the price. This piece must be shipped in an oversize box and will be shipped insured, so I will ship using USPS Standard Post or UPS ground whichever is more economical.
