Universal dinner plate in solid blue on the Ballerina shape, some crazing.
The Universal Potteries Company sold many lines to grocery stores, movie houses and service stations for use as premium items. The company is best known to collectors for its Cattail and Ballerina lines. They had some very lovely solid color dinner ware such as the Ballerina shape with its trademark circle finails , the Laurella shape and the Camwood Ivory shapes that came in pastels and the Rodeo shape. The Universal Potteries Company closed in 1960.
