Condition: good for age
Long handmade lace garment that is meant to be worn over a dress. Altogether it measures 59" x 10 1/2. The condition is good for it's age. The sides are a bit tattered. There are eyelet openings along the side of the front like button holes. Corresponding on the back side are extensions of the lace like knobs . Somehow the front and the back side are meant to be secured at the sides to fit tighter against the body. It has yellowed with age. I don't know what to call this type of lace accessory. It could be a capelet or a plastron. One shoulder has a metal hook eye closure.
