Condition: near excellent
New York Dress Creations Velvet -Satin Silk Gown 1940's. It about a size 6 to 8. The bodice is luxurious black velvet and the skirt as yo can see is a unusual combination of blue, copper and gold stripes on a black back ground. The fabric is satin woven silk that is alternates from the colorful smooth soft satin vs. the black stipes which are smooth with out the gloss but has a crisp feel. The joining of the stripes is not sewn together, there no no seams. It is actually woven. I am pretty sure it is actually silk and not a man made fiber. It has a side metal zipper with hook eye closure at the waist. The condition is very good. It will need to be dry cleaned as it look a wee bit soiled towards the bottom the hem.
