A Feast Of Good Things A Cook Book Prepared by The Ladies Of Emmanuel Church Hastings, Michigan 1893
First, this cook book has no cover. I got it 40 years ago, with no cover.
Handwritten on the first page: Allie Burroughs, Given to me by Mary Nader. Full of recipes, some handwritten. Lots of advertising from the local Hastings businesses of the day: Julius Russell-Dry Goods Millinery Ira Van Valkenburgh-Hardware Carriages Hams & Van Arman-Groceries Crockery Drs. Barber-Surgery Gynecology Fred Heath-Druggist Hastings Wool Boot Co. J. C. Andrus-Dentist Goodyear Bros.-Stoves Ranges S E Phillips-Grocer H E Renkes-City Bakery Hastings City Bank Philip Colgrove-Lawyer Hastings Journal Hastings Furniture Mfg. L E Stauffer-General Merchant Archie McCoy-Furniture and Carpet Man W H Goodyear-Chemist Druggist J W Lunn-Merchant Tailor Holloway's Drug Store Michigan Whip Co. W H Myers-Harness F H Barlow Co.-Grain Seeds Wool Cement S H Fowler-DDS
This is a nice piece of Hastings history even without a cover.
CONDITION: Except for the missing cover, this is in quite good condition. Minimal stains and pages tightly bound.
