Circa: late 1880's Condition: Excellent Color: ecru with many pastel colors and gold trim Country of Origin: Austria Manufacturer: Royal Vienna
This pedestal dish is made of fine porcelain by the Royal and Imperial Manufactory of Vienna between the late 1880's and the early 1900's. There is a shield or "beehive" mark with #7572 on the bottom. It is in excellent condition with some wearing of the gold edge. There is a Renaissance couple in the center surrounded by 4 different scenes around the edge with much gold surrounding them. The plate is 8" wide, the base is 3" wide and 3 3/4" high. This piece is a remarkable example of the fine work produced in this period. |
