Arne Jacobsen Ashtray Revolving Award Winning
Here is an exquisite vintage piece by Arne Jacobsen. It is the revovling ashtray from the Cylinda line. This line was awarded the ID prize in 1967 by the Danish Society of Industrial design. It is also part of MOMA's collection. You flip the cup using the handle to get rid of the ashes and then they are hidden. Measures Overall: 2 5/8 x 3 x 4 3/8" (6.7 x 7.6 x 11.1 cm) .a (cylindrical cup): h. 2 5/8" (6.7 cm), diam. 3" (7.6 cm) .b (inset rotating hemispherical bowl): 1 1/2 x 2 3/4 x 4 3/8" (3.8 x 7 x 11.1 cm). This ashtray is in very good condition. Slight surface scratches. No darkened areas. Very clean. Marked on the bottom,STELTON, Stainless,Denmark 18/8. Polished stainless steel.
