Stands six inches tall to barrel shaped red ribbed knob - almost two inches long and a half inch thick! Stylish embossed crows feet along edges - subtle detail. Features a screw cap spout and removable top - there's a little light wear to the top (should show in pics, but I'll be happy to send you more), but the main body of the server is FINE - really superb chrome work all-around. Has a black early hard plastic (bakelite?) scroll & leaf handle (acanthus doo-dad attachment continued conceptually in the chrome work at the top and bottom of the handle attachment points - should show in pics). Schwabenland Gebruder GOURMET Chrome SERVER This interesting 2-handled covered server was made by Swiss gourmet cookware manufacturer Gebruder Schwabenland and is in VERY GOOD condition. Please, look at pictures. There's one small dent to lid and some slight wear to outside chrome, but overall a very nice piece. What we would normally think of as a sugar bowl (& it could be, not our area of expertise), has to be insulated or double-walled because it just feels that way. Server measures 5-3/4 from looped handle to handle and stands 4-1/4 inches tall to top of handle on lid. The bottom measures 3-1/2 inches across and 3 across mouth.
Signed underneath with 'GEBRUDER SCHWABENLAND' embossed in an oval. Raised circle @ center reads:
