Vintage Framed Paper Doll - lace & Ribbons These crafted paper dolls with various materials, lace & ribbons were popular in the 1930's & 40's - an example being the 1930's cut up movie poster (Human Bondage with Bette Davis) that was used to back this picture. This one is a paper baby made up to be in a bassinet. The head & body are tucked into the liner of net covered pink satin with wide pink lace edges - trimmed with blue & pink satin ribbon rosettes & lt. blue satin ribbons. The hands are tucked in & out of sheer white laced edged organdy to look like a dress w/ collar. There is very light blue fading through the lace near top edge as it might have come through from the poster which only gives it a more aged look. SEE PICS! It's original wooden cream w/lt. blue inner edge frame is in good condition w/some paint wear. Overall size is 14 3/4 inch L x 11 3/4 inch W. Victorian Folk Tramp Art Framed GUARDIAN ANGEL The vintage classic print THE GUARDIAN ANGEL was handcrafted ca.1920's by a folk art method where the print has been varnished to give it an aged appearance. The unique folk -tramp art frame is made from vintage newspapers - looks to be in some areas the comics from the 1920's. The paper has been folded into 8 point adjoining stars with centers of 4 raised points. Back of framed looks to be old adhesive tape to reinforce stars.
