Thomas Dietrich LANDSCAPE Original painting! Done by famed Wisconsin painter Thomas Mueller Dietrich (b.1912-), the painting itself measures 25 inches wide by 38 inches tall and comes in a quarter-sawn oak frame - MUST SEE PICS! Provenance upon request, but came from the home of a Neenah, WI doctor and is in beautiful original condition. Piece has been well taken care of and kept out of the light for many years, this original oil painting on canvas covered board is a superb Wisconsin landscape of trees above some rocks and executed in a neo-impressionist style that in many ways is reminiscent of the style of WPA artists, like Thomas Hart Benton. An exhibition of Dietrichs work is included - although it does not include this piece, you'll get a wonderful feel for Dietrich's work and why this prolific painter in in many corporate art collections as well as established families throughout Wisconsin - also into the Southwestern United States. {Book is a softcover oblong folio entitled 'Views of Our County: A Thomas Dietrich Exhibition' - from the Outagamie County Historical Society, Outagamie Museum Appleton Wisconsin including an introductory essay by Morgan E. Baird.} The white birch really pop out in the foreground of the picture while evergreens and other tree species form a great atmosphere that Dietrich infuses with almost a cubist (maybe a little Marc Chagall too) sense of space created through light. There's a tremendous sense of depth created by the natural light passing through the forest canopy onto the forest floor and reflecting brightly off the rocks near the foreground (see close-up of impasto work). This painting also has a nice sense of movement that we've found common in Dietrich's work be it watercolor, sketches or paintings such as this.

1959 N.C. Wyeth Farmer Corn FR Picture & Mag. Cover The colors of this signed N.C.Wyeth print are beautiful with their muted tones of browns & golds. The original shiny gold wooden frame has a small metal plaque at the bottom that reads: Awarded for outstanding sales achievement 1959 - 1960. The framed print was probably given to the top corn salesman for that year. The print is 18 x 19 inches. Overall size with the frame is 19.5 x 10.75 inches. Included with the frame is a magazine cover from the Country Gentleman from 1944 with the same cover as the print. Everything is in EXCELLENT condition with no flaws except for very little wear to the magazine cover. We have the largest selection of framed & unframed prints in So. Art Glass SNOWMAN CLOWN MINT! Vintage ADORABLE This is a wonderful art glass clown in a billowous outfit made to make him look like a SNOWMAN! What a cute, whimsical and HEAVY glass figural piece who also has big black feet. Clown snowman also features a lot of applied extra goodies like his hat, collars (neck's black & hands are red), as well as hands in white gloves, fluorescent orange necklace and such cute bead-like blue eyes, red nose and those wide smiling red lips! Heavy creamy sheet measures 11 inches wide and 15 tall. The image/plate size at center measures 4-3/4 inches wide by 6-3/4 inches tall. From illustrations Dali made for fellow Spaniard Cervantes' DON QUIXOTE. Rich, ruddy sepia tone ink. There was a slight transference from the print that was shipped behind it, which in this case is our #2.
