Complete RAPHAEL folio size book is fifteen inches tall and comes in a protective jacket cover for safe handling/preservation - MUST SEE PICS! Came from a fine art book collection and was kept in pristine shape from day one - very nice and you won't likely find another this fresh in some time. Published by Reynal and Company in 1969 stated FIRST EDITION. This MASSIVE book measures 15 inches tall and a hefty eleven wide, the book is bound in white heavy cloth/canvas which has RAPHAEL deeply embossed in gold! Dust jacket is in NEAR FINE condition as well - NO rips, tears, fades - maybe some faint rubs to extremities, but that would be about it, wraparound illustration is wonderful AND a jacket in this wonderful condition becoming increasingly uncommon. Book also contains nearly fifty (49) color plates and 875 illustration in black and white! It sounds like a lot of illustrations because IT'S TRUE! It is rather astounding and we're still not even done listing them! Be sure to check out the other BIG art books that came from this wonderful University professor's collection - there's a Michelangelo folio we just got on that's of equal size and would make a nice companion to this one - we always combine shipping on multiple item orders.
