Circa: early 20th Century Condition: Used - EXCELLENT Size: 58.75 inches tall x 16.5'' deep @ bottom Type: WALNUT Country of Origin: United States Manufacturer: Hand hewn carved in Southern MN In EXCELLENT condition with its original finish, this hand-carved walnut corner shelf is a beauty - MUST SEE PICS! Stands 58.75 inches tall and is 16.5 inches deep at bottom (from wall to outside edge). A very nice OLD piece with even a rough hewn piece that can be seen on back - very interesting - hand-made, but in amazing detail with a lot of nice incised work. Looks like a nice interpretation of the Eastlake style - it is also somewhat derivative of PA German style (where we got it has an incredible German population) as well as a slightly Russian influence, maybe East German ('Period Decoration' by Clifford 1901 p.99). Despite attempts to categorize, this is a wonderful piece of middle-west Americana from the early Twentieth Century. PICK-UP only unless other arrangements can be made. Feel free to e-mail w/ any questions and THANKS FOR LOOKING!
