Pallme-Konig Rose Bowl done in a very unusual shape. The top is perfectly square - 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" while the bottom is also square, but measures 4 1/2" x 4 1/2". The bowl is pinched in, or dimpled in approximately 1/2" - 3/4" inwards. The top edge is rolled smooth and gently pulled down at each center side. The famous glass stringing that Pallme-Konig is known for extends completely to the bottom of the bowl. There is a partial polished pontil. The glass stringing all seem to be in tact except for a very tiny 1/16" in the corner where there is a slight flea bite. I only mention this for exactness in posting, but I assure you, you have to look hard for this slight defect. The color, the photos capture it beautifully. Very high irredescence. Pure amethyst is the base color, but it turns dark in areas, and when the light hits it, it glistens different shadings of amethyst and also some blue hues and green hues. The bottom is also concaved (turns upwards slightly
