(2) Nice Old Mellins Food Fold Up Trade Cards
Pair of nice Old Mellin's Food Fold Up or Stand Up Trade Cards. Both cards are identical. I hate using the word "mint" but these Trade Cards nearly fit the description. These probably date somewhere around the late 1800's to early 1900's. At the base of the Card there is two flaps, one on each side that can be folded so the Card can stand up. These cards were never used. They measure 5 3/8" in height and at the base say Compliments of Mellin's Food, "Our Baby" Back of the Card gives a run down on why your baby should have Mellin's Food. Bottom says Mellin's Food Company, Boston, Mass. Would make a very nice addition to any Trade Card or Vintage Baby Advertisement collection. Buyer to pay shipping.

Early Group Photo of Miners. Not certain exactly where this photo was taken but it's believed to be from the Southwestern Pennsylvania or West Virginia region. Photo itself measures 8 x 10" and the cardboard stocking is 10 x 12". As you can see in the Photos there is a right edge tear/rip to the photo and the photo itself does have some soilage and wear marks. Back of the photo identifies individual in ink pen. Early Miners/Mining Group Photo
Early Group Photo of some Miners I'm guessing dates circa 1910. Men shown with early Miner's Lamps and Lunch Buckets. Identified with blue ink X at the top is identified on the back. Gentleman standing next to him appears as if he may be an African-American man. Not certain though, possibly could have just come out of the mine. Not certain the location of the photo but it is believe to be from somewhere in the Southwestern Pennsylvania or West Virginia area. As you can see the Cardboard backing and the Picture itself does have some wear. Cardboard edges have some worn/torn edges as does the picture. Picture also has some markings and scratches. Also has a couple pin holes at the top right and left corners of the cardboard. Please be sure to view my other early Mining photo from the same estate. Buyer to pay shipping.

Early The Works of Shakespere Magazines
Lot of early Magazines entitled "The Works of Shakspere" Could not find a date to these but they appear to be from around the late 1800's. Magazines were edited by Charles Knight with illustrations done by Cope, R.A.Leslie, R.A. Maclise, R.A. E.M. Ward, R.A. W.P. Frith, R.A. H.S. Marks, A.R.A. and others. These Magazines were apparently only sold to subscribers. Not exactly sure how many of these there was suppose to be but I have a total of 38 (Parts 1-38). Magazines were published by James S. Virtue 12 Dey St. New York. Beginning of each part (Magazine) has an illustration and then a play itself. As you can probably see the edges to the Magazine are tattered (fraile/brittle) some, however, they are intact. Covers are soiled some as well. Very early Magazines that I'm sure would make a fine addition to any Shakespere collection. Buyer to pay shipping (media) and insurance.

Lloyd E. Jones The Bat 1949 Magic Magazines
Lot containing (4) Issues of "The Bat" Issues are all the same (only one shown) from October 1949. In essence these were complimentary Magazines that were sent to what I'm assuming was the head of the Ohio Valley Ring Club or Organization as stated on the mailing address of the original envelope that these were sent in. Magazine(s) feature various tricks and news in the Magician world. Accompanied with the Magazines was a letter send by the owner or writer for "The Bat" Lloyd E. Jones, more or less explaining the Magazines are complimentry and explaining the benefits of subscribing to "The Bat"--the Official Organ of the Magic Dealers Association. Also included is a flyer showing various Magic Books being offered for sale by the company. Just a terrific lot for any Magician or collector of vintage Magic items. Buyer to pay shipping & insurance. Please be sure to view my other early Magic related items.
