40's Fairy Pups S&P Candy Containers w/Label Offered is a cute figural Salt & Pepper Candy Container set of a couple of pups. These Shakers/Candy Containers date to around the 1940's to 1950's and were Mfg. by T.H. Stough Co., Jeannette, Pa. Shakers have aluinium lids and as shown in the photos they were not even used. Has the original paper label on top as well as it's original candy. Label or tag says Hansel & Gretel "The Fairy Pups" Salt & Pepper. Bottoms of the Shakers are embossed Stough Co., Jeannette, Pa and on the side of each one says Sugar, Starch, Corn, Syrup. Shakers measure almost 2 3/4" in height and both are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Would make a fine addition to any Salt & Pepper or Candy Container collection. 1921 Mrs. Harding's 20th Century Cook Book
Early Cook Book entitled “Mrs. Harding’s 20th Century Cook Book & Her Recipes For Candy Making” Total of 182 pages with Recipes and a few illustrated photos of some women in the Kitchen. Book was compiled and published by The Geographical Publishing Co., 621 Plymouth Court, Chicago, Ill. Copyrighted in 1921 by John Thomas. Inside cover page of this Book actually says Twentieth Century Cook Book An Up-To-Date and Skillful Preparation on the Art of Cooking and Modern Candy Making Simplified Also The Process of Drying Fruits and Vegetables and Butchering Time Recipes. Overall condition of this Book is good especially for it’s age. All pages are intact with just some light wear to the front and back cover. Great for anyone interested in Old Cook Books or Cooking. Early Sad Iron embossed on the top Enterprise Mfg. Co., Phila. STAR Patent Ground IRON. Pat. Jan either 16 or 18 '77. Below this says Pat. Oct.1,67 No what looks like 76 with some other numbers/letters which are difficult to make out. Iron is in very good condition. Measures 6 3/4" in length and about 5" in height. Small Miniature Crock w/Lid Cute litte Miniature Brown & White Crock w/Lid. Crock does have some age to it. Just a guess but I would say around 50 years and maybe earlier. Has some light crazing and bottom is incised with a number 8. Measures a little over 4" in height and overall very good condition.
