Antique Embroidered Cotton Sheet Set Stunning Heavily Embroidered Cotton Sheet With 2 Overlay Shams.

Stunning antique white cotton sheet and 2 matching overlay shams that have lots of embroidery, cutwork and drawn thread work. The fabric is a fine cotton. These would have been part of a trousseau. The only problem is one tiny hole near the center of one of the shams. The shams measure 39 1/2" by 30 1/2". The sheet measures 110" long and is 88" wide. It is made of three sections sewn together. The embroidered part of the sheet goes back 34". The bottom hem and where the pieces are sewn together is machine sewn. The hand work on these pieces is extremely well done. Condition is excellent with a couple of areas that have a very faint yellowing that is barely noticeable and that may come out in further washings. My photos make the sheet and shams look splotchy but they are a nice clean, white, with no splotches. I have gently hand soaked, air dried and pressed them so they are ready for use.
