Lefton Japan Ceramic Lion Bank Ceramic Hubert Lion bank made by Lefton, Japan. 7 1/2 inches high, in excellent condition. Has rubber stopper on the bottom as well as the red Lefton label which reads "Lefton, Trade Mark Exclusives, Japan". Also has a number in black on the bottom which reads [H13384]. Can be seen in [Collector's Guide to Banks, Identification & Values] by Jim and Beverly Mangus dated 1998, on page 92. Listed at $110.00 to $125.00.
 

Shawnee Smiley Cookie Jar / Bank Smiley Cookie Jar/Bank by Shawnee Pottery Co. Can be seen on page 137 of the book "Collector's Guide to Banks" by Jim and Beverly Mangus, 1998. Measures about 10 1/4". Condition is very good with no chips, cracks or hairlines. There are 2 pinhead size glaze skips on the bottom and a few on the top, that occurred when it was made. The bottom of the top was made with three 1/2" circles. One of those circles has been made larger (1") so that the money could be gotten out. Cookie jar/banks are not that common and this is a very cute one as well.
