Greene's Parrots in Captivity consisted of 81 beautiful plates printed from woodblocks by Fawcett. These are said to be the finest illustrated work of parrots of the 19th century. This measures about 6 3/4 inches by 9 3/4 inches. Condition is very good with a few spots of foxing on the left side.

New Zealand Parrakeet Hand Colored Litho As is. From Parrots in Captivity by William Thomas Greene and F. G. Dutton. This is an original lithograph finished by hand coloring.

Greene's Parrots in Captivity consisted of 81 beautiful plates printed from woodblocks by Fawcett. These are said to be the finest illustrated work of parrots of the 19th century. This measures about 6 3/4 inches by 9 3/4 inches. Condition is rough with the corners missing, a tear at the bottom, and some splotches of stain at the right side, along the rough edge. It looks like it got splashed some with dirty water. Colors are still wonderful though and perhaps someone can clean this up.

Early 1900'2 Calendar Top, J. Knowles Hare Nice mother with baby print signed J. Knowles Hare. It was the top to a calendar. Measures 11 3/4" by 9". Condition is very good with a small piece missing at the top right edge.

Antique French Fashion Print, Lady, Gent Kid Nice antique French fashion print. There is no date but the rest of the prints from this lot are dated around 1855. Measures 8 1/2 by 11 inches. It is on heavy paper. Condition is good with just slight roughness at the lower right corner and one 1/8 inch tear at the right margin.

1800's Guerard Lithograph, Costume, Romaine Hand Colored Lithograph Romaine by Guerard The artist is Guerard, the publisher is de Lemercier and the lithographer is Regnier. The title is Romaine. The print measures 9 1/8" by 7 1/8". Total paper measures 19 3/4" by 12 1/4" and is on a heavy paper. The print itself is in very good condition. The margin has light foxing and the very bottom 1/2" has a couple of tears. I am not a print expert but believe this lithograph is hand colored. A nice, colorful print. If anyone knows the artist's first name it would be appreciated.
 

Paul Sandby Early Print, Proof Before Letters This print is on old paper and has written at the very bottom, "P. Sandby Proof Before Letters 1758". In overall good condition with the exception of foxing. There is an indentation which forms like a frame outside the printed area which would have been formed when the print was made. Picture measures 9" by 7" and total size of paper is 17" by 11 1/2". A nice early print that shows a girl and boy walking, with the boy looking somewhat flustered, he has his hand up to his head. There is a dog following them and two horses down below them.
 

Fern B Peat Mother Goose Print, Jack and Jill Fern Bisel Peat Print - Jack and Jill.

Print measures 10" by 12 3/8" and is on a backing that measures 14 1/8" by 11". Print is on heavy stock paper and is in very good condition. Has Mother Goose nursey rhymes and a black and white illustration on the other side. The print is only attached very lightly at the top of the gray backing paper and could be removed. Print is in very good condition, ready to frame. Note that is with print has a date of 1934.

 

Bessie Pease Gutmann Framed Print Bessie Pease Gutmann framed print. This is an early print of a baby eating out of a bowl. It measures 16 1/2 inches wide by 19 1/2 inches. Back has brown paper which is not original but picture is clean and ready to hang. Condition is very good with a small spot of dirt under the glass.
