6 LOT Retro Thermoware Raffia Burlap Melmac Tumblers
These FLOAT in the water and have a thermal ability. However, we learned that you should not immerse them. You can keep warm fluid warm, and cold fluids cold. These Melmac tumblers have clear lucite plastic outsides that are sealed at the top. Inside is woven burlap or raffia straw.

YOU GET THE COMPLETE MATCHING SIX TUMBLER SET. All are a beige color. They are approximately 6 inches tall and 2 3/4 inches in diameter. They are in excellent condition, especially for age and look like they have been rarely used except one has an area at the bottom edge of the color where it is affixed to the lucite that is missing. It is still usable as it is on the outside. The straw will air dry if submerged.

These were the rage back in the 1950s and 1960s. These have been called Thermoware and Raffiaware, Burlap Melmac and so many other names.

YOU GET THE FOLLOWING:

1. Pink Tumbler, milk glass size just over 4 inches tall and 3 inches diameter

2. Aqua Tumbler This one appears to be made by the same maker as the pink one. It is more flared. It has a small chip at the top edge, but no others.

3. The last FOUR are from the same set, one lime green, onegreen, one dark brown and one medium brown.. They are approximately 6 inches tall and 2 3/4 inches in diameter. They are in good condition, especially for age. The dark brown has some lighter residue inside, and the lighter brown has 2 lines (not cracks) but stress lines in the lucite.

BOONTON MELMAC Rice Bowls Lot 2

This is a cute little set of BOONTONWARE 3303-10 Rice Bowls. They are 5 inches wide and 2 inches tall. One is yellow and one ia turquoise blue. The outside is shiny and the inside not as much. Still wonderful for the collection.
 

HARMONY HOUSE CATALINA PINK Cream - Sugar MELMAC

This is a great set from Harmony House in the Catalina pattern. They were sold originally at Sears. There is #209 Sugar and #208 creamer. The sugar has 3 little flea bites on the handle, the cream has a nick on the spout and an ink dot. Need to be cleaned.
 

This is a lovely plastic glass. It is clear plastic with a basket weave design under the plastic. This glass is in good shape. This glass in made like a sherbet type glass. This came with cottage cheese from the local milk man.
 

Vintage YELLOW MELMAC Creamer MINT

This is a beautiful Melmac malamine creamer that is yellow. It is in MINT condition. It is numbered 105. No other markings.
