This is a stoneware ashtray that is just over 5 inchs across that reads H. DICKSON, HATS, CAPS & FURS, No. 60 STATE STREET, ALBANY and the back reads Make in England Moira Pottery Co. Ltd. It is a deep ashtray. No chips or cracks, just manufacturer marks. Here is a little history on MOIRA POTTERY: In business for 50 years, the MOIRA POTTERY COMPANY was known for their popular HILLSTONIA. A fellow who lives in England and had this to say... I quote in part: .....thought you might be interested in a bit of information on Moira Pottery. The company started in 1922 making jam jars and progressed to making more specialist pottery such as Hillstonia mostly between the years of 1934 and 1972. Hillstonia was decorative ware for bulbs & plants, mostly handmade and is glazed inside and unglazed outside. .....The company was situated approx 8kms from Burton on Trent - which is in the borough of Staffordshire in the Midlands, however Moira is just over the border in the adjacent borough of Leicestershire - approx 40kms from Leicester. The pottery was closed in 1972, demolished and the ground it stood on excavated for the coal reserves underneath it. After the coal was extracted the whole area was 'reclaimed' and is now part of an area known as the National Forest - parks and leisure complexes.....

FOX HUNT Horses German Style MUG Stoneware

This is a beautiful stoneware mug/stein that has the German style which has an underglaze watercolor like design that looks like the Charles Harrison prints.

It has a depiction of an English Victorian Fox Hunting Schene with two riders, one on a white horse and both wearing the 'hunting pink' getting ready to ride. There is a fox hound nearby and another behind.

It is unmarked and stands approximartely 6 1/2 inches tall. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Looks unused.
 

PARAMOUNT CA POTTERY LEE'S Stoneware BOWL

This California Pottery Bowl is very attractive and done in a red stoneware with the glazed design on the outside. It has hand painted beautiful flower design.

It has a glazed exterior and is unglazed inside. It measures 7 1/4 inches in diameter and 3 inches tall. It has the PARAMOUNT CA. LEES POTTERY MFG and #CO or #6O number.

No chips or cracks, just needs a cleanup.

This is the cutest little stoneware pitcher. It is cream colored with a blue duck on it. This pitcher stands about 5 & 1/2 inches tall, and is in good shape, no chips or cracks. It is unmarked, so we are not sure who or when it was made. It would certainly look lovely in that country kitchen.
 

RARE Vintage YELLOWWARE Blended DRIP PIE CRUST BOWL



This is wonderful with the THREE little feet, a rare vintage yellowware stoneware blended drip that has the pie crust edge. It may be Brush McCoy but we are not experts. It has the incised 398 on the bottom. It is approximately 10 inches in diameter. Some minor utensil marks, NO chips or cracks.



It is done in browns, beige/tan with what looks like a blue green and the middle color is almost purplish. It is about 3 inches tall. This came from a local Romeo estate.

Now this is a wonderful retro piece. It is a tall, 9 1/2 inches, Water Pitcher or could be used for just about anything.

It has a purple color with the bottom being a Braided Rope design in a beautiful golden brown. It appears to be stoneware as seen on the bottom. The handle is graceful and long.

This piece is unmarked but is in excellent condition. If your dinnerware decor is purple or lilac then this would look great with your collection. The inside too has the swirl design.
 

This is a beautiful BROWN Stoneware Pitcher or Urn like the Grecian ones that is done in a brown. It has a green design on the bottom half that encircles the piece.

It stands approximately 10 inches tall. There are no chips or cracks, excellent stored condition.
 

Vintage STONEWARE CROCK USA Glazed Marked Leaves
This is a piece that we have had for many many years. It is a vintage stoneware CROCK that is a very nice piece. It is very similar in size and shape to the Cowden and Wilcox crocks from Pennsylvania.

This one has some old markings on the front which were apparently the design which has worn. It looks like it was leaves.

It has the normal glaze pops as shown in all the pictures. The bottom has the incised U.S.A. and you can feel inside the lines from when it was made.

It stands 9 1/8 inches tall and the bottom is 6 5/8 inches wide, although it is wider at the middle. There are no chips, or cracks. It does have what looks like 2 hairlines that are equally at the neck on both sides.

We do not know anything about these.....
