Mar-crest is the logo for a large retail chain group called Marshall Burns a division of Technicolor Inc from Chicago 54 Illinois. The dinnerware lines were produced by other companies for them; two of them were Western Stoneware which produced the brown line of dinnerware called 'Warm Colorado Brown' and the Hull Pottery Company who made the pastel colored line. There were also other companies, though smaller, who made other items for Mar-crest. Other lines include Blue Heaven, Memory Lane and Swiss Chalet. These items were available in service stations, grocery stores, movie theaters and more in the 1950's. The pattern shown is Swiss Chalet (which has also been seen as a Taylor, Smith Taylor manufactured item). All items are free from chips, cracks or crazing unless noted. Enjoy shopping! |
