CATHERINE in which the original is in the capodimonte Museum Naples. This has been part of our family estate for years. It is by the famous Turner Company in Chicago that put out all those bird, flower and lady pictures. This is TURNER WALL ACCESSORY Item 3620- J234 YOUNG GIRL by PARMIGIANINO from the Turner Graphic Arts Collection. It is absolutely beautiful. It is 25 x 20 inches. The matting is a GOLD VELOUR/VELVET like and is PERFECT. THE DIFFERENT COLORS ARE JUST FROM THE FLASH THRU THE GLASS. The wood frame is green and golds. Parmigianino was an Italian Painter. Italian Mannerist Painter, 1503-1540, Also known as Girolamo Francesco Mazzola. Parmigianino, born Girolamo Francesco Maria Mazzola in Parma, Italy, became Italy's most influential Mannerist painter in his brief twenty-year career. His father and uncles taught him the techniques of painting, and by age sixteen he had already completed an altarpiece for a local church. Beginning in 1520, the celebrated Renaissance artist Correggio became his primary inspiration. Scholars believe that the younger artist may have assisted Correggio with his frescoes at a church in Parma, where Parmigianino may also have completed his own frescoes.
