Medium Duty Teacups incised U.S.A. - The Star of the Road - Currier & Ives by Royal China. These are some of the scarcest items of Currier & Ives that I have run across. They are NOT mentioned in Aupperle's guide. What makes these items different is that they are about 25% heavier in weight (ranges from 6.9 to 7.5 oz., average 7.2 oz.) than the regular teacups. These are with the incised U.S.A. (periods included)on them. They are slightly taller and slightly thicker. The handle attachement is quite distinct in that it has an added flair at the bottom attaching point as seen on the left in the comparison image.
