Gibson Girl Porcelain Victorian Shaving Mug GIBSON GIRL AUTHENTIC VICTORIAN FINE PORCELAIN SHAVING MUG

<p>Look at the great colors & detail on this authentic Victorian shaving mug. Shaving mugs were used from the Civil War era, and into the late 1920's, when the advent of the safety razor faded them out. This mug features a beautiful raised silhouette of a woman known in the art world, as the Gibson Girl. This is not a smooth blank mug, painted on. It is all raised, the girl, flowers and other designs. The lip of the mug is sculpted. It is made of a lighter fine porcelain, rather than the heavy china you usually find mug made of. The mug is in excellent condition, but has a tiny chip on the base. There is also a hairline crack inside the mug. This mug is stunning, and displays AWSUMLY! There are no manufacturers marks on the bottom of the mug, but has the number 9778 embossed in the base. The mug stands about 3 3/4" tall. This AWSUM mug, will make a great HOLIDAY addition to any Mug or Barber Shop collection.

These were quality reproduction mugs made in the early 1950s. It was part of a large series which depicted different occupations from the turn of the last century, & defined by the title of the occupation...The Horseman, instead of the personalized name the originals had. It is a large mug, standing 4" tall, and almost 4" in diameter. The colors & detail is in great condition, with a bright yellow wrap. <p>Look at this great Occupational Shaving Mug, personalized for Dr. D. Taylor. This mug does not have a painted scene of a Doctor, just his name, amidst pretty flowers. It has the usual gold wear on the top and bottom lip, but all artwork on the front is perfect. The mug measures about 3 1/2" high x 3 1/2" wide, not including the handle. The mug is in excellent condition, but does have a 2" hairline on the back of the mug, next to the handle. This takes nothing away from this hard to find mug, and displays great. The bottom of the mug has a Limoges France PHL, trademark. This will make an AWSUM addition to any Mug or Barber collection.
 

Gillette Razor Blade Vending Machine Look at this great old vending machine for Gillette Razor Blades. While the label is original, it appears the previous owner has re glued it on, & covered it with some sort of plastic protection. The edges of the label are a bit raggedy, but intact. The base of the machine is 4 3/4" wide, the top of the machine is 2 1/2" wide, and overall height is 17". the machine is 2 1/2" deep. There is a key. The machine reads "Gillette...Buy Now, Look Sharp, Feel Sharp, Be Sharp..5 for 25c, Coin Returned if Empty, Manufactured & Distributed by Mode? Merchandising Corp., St Louis 5 MO."
