Antique shell-cameo sterling silver pendant; a marcasite accents the lower edge. The pendant is stamped Sterling on the back. The cameo has a slight natural line in the shell near the face in front of the nose, and the carving marks show that it was there when the cameo was carved.
The pendant measures just over 1 inch long and 3/4 inch wide. The style of the cameo carving is consistent with a make circa 1890. There is no jump ring for a chain, but we will add one for you on request. Or, you can have it added locally when you receive the pendant.
