Vintage pre-owned sterling silver flatware set by Gorham in the Buttercup pattern, considered by many as the most cheerful of all silver patterns.
12 hollow-handled knives with French-style stainless blades, 8 3/4" long.
12 7" forks, all stamped lion, anchor, G. Three have the letter "R", 4 have the letter "R" and "Patent 1900", and 5 are marked with the letter "E" and "Patent 1900".
12 6-3/8" salad forks. All signed lion, anchor, G. Six are signed "Patent 1900" and 6 do not have the patent mark.
12 5-7/8" teaspoons. Ten are signed "lion, anchor, G, Patent 1900 and the letter E". Two are signed "lion, anchor, G with the letter R."
Excellent condition; it looks like most of the pieces have been professionally polished.
