Rockingham Glaze Pig Bank
This unusual piece has a very different type Rockingham like glaze, the feel is of a slightly rougher texture than usually found. The pig is approximately 5" long and 2 1/2" tall. There is a slot to drop money in, but the tiny slot on the bottom wouldn't let even a dime fall out. This may well be an end -of-day piece. Potteries would let their potters use the days left over product to make their own end-of-day piece. No chips, there is one area on his left foreleg that is rough, but not broken. Rockingham Yellowware Bowl Rolled Lip
Rockingham bowl in great condition. Almost 4" tall, 9" across the top. The sides are decorated with 10 tall columns with rounded tops, and other markings. Moderate crazing. NO chips NO dings. As usual the three interior "kiln marks" have minor glaze loss from "beating those biscuits." From Pennsylvania area. The glaze is a wonderful dark glaze with plenty of mocha and golden yellow showing through. This is one that's hard for me to give up.
